Tips for Thanksgiving freebies
- Read cash back rules before you shop. The exact brand and size matter, and the offer disappears once its budget is used up.
- Combine a store turkey deal with your normal shop. If you are buying the trimmings anyway, the spend threshold may cost you nothing extra.
- Book kids crafts early. Free workshop kits run out the weekend before Thanksgiving.
More free food is in free food samples, and free kids activities are in free kids samples. The weekend after, see Black Friday freebies.

How can I get a free Thanksgiving turkey?
The two common ways are a grocery store promotion that gives a turkey after you spend a set amount with the loyalty card, and a cash back app that pays back the full price of a turkey or a whole dinner basket. Both need you to buy first. Food banks and churches give turkeys and meals to families who need them.
Is the free Thanksgiving dinner from cash back apps really free?
It can end up free, but you pay at the register and get the money back in the app afterwards, so you need the cash up front and must follow the item list exactly. Of the 1 live Thanksgiving offers on this page, 0 are marked free with no purchase, 1 need a purchase or fee, and 0 have terms nobody has confirmed yet.
When do Thanksgiving freebies start?
Grocery turkey promotions and cash back dinners usually start in early November. Kids crafts and store events run the weekends before the holiday. This page refreshes every hour as new offers go up.
When is Thanksgiving 2026?
Thursday, November 26, 2026. Black Friday follows on November 27, Small Business Saturday on November 28 and Cyber Monday on November 30, each with its own freebies.
Where can I find a free Thanksgiving meal near me?
Search for community Thanksgiving dinners in your town, or call local churches, food banks and the Salvation Army. Many cities list free holiday meals through 211, the community help line.
