When is National Cookie Day 2026?
December 4 every year. In 2026 it falls on a Friday, so cookie shop deals may run through the weekend.
Where can I get a free cookie on National Cookie Day?
Cookie shops are the usual place: Insomnia Cookies has marked the day with a free cookie in past years, sometimes with a purchase. Cookie chains also send codes to app members, and local bakeries hand out samples. Deals are announced a few days before, and the live list on this page picks them up.
Are National Cookie Day freebies really free?
Some are, and some need a purchase or an app account. Each listing on TrySpree says which kind it is.
Can kids get a free cookie at the grocery store?
At many grocery stores, yes, any day of the year. Ask at the bakery counter; some stores give kids a cookie club card.
