When does advent start in 2026?
Advent begins on Sunday, November 29, 2026, the fourth Sunday before Christmas. Most advent calendars ignore that and run from December 1 to December 24, with Christmas on Friday, December 25.
Can you get a free advent calendar?
Yes: printable advent calendars are free, and some store and restaurant apps run a free in-app advent calendar in December. Boxed beauty, toy and snack advent calendars cost money, though brands sometimes give one away in a giveaway.
Are app advent calendars really free?
Opening the doors is free. Most doors are a discount on something you buy, and a few are a free item. Each listing on TrySpree says which kind it is.
What can I put in a free homemade advent calendar?
Activities instead of things. Write each day's activity on a slip of paper, fold it into an envelope or a numbered cup, and open one each morning. The 24-day list on this page is all free.
