Which Halloween freebies come back every year?
These have run in most recent years. The exact treat, the dates and the rules change each season, so use the table to know where to look, then check the brand's announcement before you go.
| Who | What has usually been free | How you get it | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|

Halloween freebies TrySpree listed last year
Everything members posted for Halloween 2025. Most have ended, but brands often repeat a promotion, so this is a good list of who to watch this October.
How to get the most Halloween freebies
- Register for workshops early. Free kids kits at hardware and craft stores run out, and many stores let you hold a spot online a week or two ahead.
- Install the apps before the day. Restaurant Halloween deals often live in the app as a promo code, and signing up in line on the 31st is slow.
- Keep the costume simple. A costume treat needs something staff can see at a glance. A hat, mask or cape you can wear on errands works.
- Order mail kits now. Anything shipped, like trick-or-treat boxes, needs a week or more to arrive.

What can you get for free on Halloween?
Mostly three kinds of things: a treat for showing up in costume at a bakery, ice cream or cookie shop; free kids crafts and trick-or-treat events at hardware, craft and outdoor stores; and free kits by mail, like trick-or-treat collection boxes and printable coloring pages. Free full-size candy by mail is rare and usually a short-lived promotion.
Do I have to wear a costume to get a Halloween freebie?
For the costume deals, yes: the free treat is the reward for dressing up, and staff decide what counts. A simple costume or a themed accessory has usually been enough. Store events and workshops don't need one, though kids often wear them.
Are Halloween freebies really free?
Store events and workshops cost nothing, and costume treats usually need no purchase. Some promotions are discounts dressed up as freebies, or need an app account. Of the 1 live Halloween offers on this page, 1 are marked free with no purchase, 0 need a purchase or fee, and 0 have terms nobody has confirmed yet.
When are Halloween freebies announced?
Store events show up on store event pages from mid September. Restaurant and bakery costume deals are usually announced in the last week or two of October, sometimes only a day or two before. This page refreshes every hour as members post new offers.
Can adults get Halloween freebies?
Yes. Costume treats at bakeries and coffee shops are for anyone in costume, and some beauty and snack brands run Halloween sample promotions for adults. Kids workshops and trick-or-treat events are aimed at families.
