Who gives away free calendars?
The same kinds of groups print free calendars every year. Knowing them makes the search quicker.
| Who | What you get | How to get one | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Charities and ministries | A wall calendar with photos, art or daily readings | Request it on the group's site; many ship before December | Usually comes with a donation request; giving is optional |
| State and city agencies | Photo calendars of parks, roads or local landmarks | Order from the agency's site while supplies last | Small print runs; they often run out by November |
| Businesses that sell to professionals | Branded calendars for scientists, medics and trades | Request on the company's site with your work details | Some want a work email or a company name |
| Accessibility groups | Braille and large-print calendars | Request from the group that publishes them | Meant for people who need them |
| Local businesses | Pocket and wall calendars from banks, insurance agents, real estate agents and restaurants | Ask at the counter in December and January | Free while they last; no order needed |

Tips for free calendars
- Ask early. Free stock is set when the calendar is printed, and the best ones are gone by December.
- Check what the form asks. A name and address is normal. A request for card details means it is a sale.
- Ask locally in December. Banks, credit unions, insurance agents and restaurants order calendars to give away and are glad to hand them out.
More free things that arrive in the mail are in the free samples by mail guide.
How do I get a free 2027 calendar by mail?
Request one from a charity, ministry or state agency that prints them, using the form on its site. Most ship in the fall and run out by December. Locally, ask banks, insurance and real estate offices and restaurants in December; many hand them out at the counter.
Are free calendars really free?
The calendar and shipping cost nothing in most cases, but charities send it with a donation request and will mail you again. Of the 3 live calendar offers on this page, 3 are marked free with no purchase, 0 need a purchase or fee, and 0 have terms nobody has confirmed yet.
When should I request a free calendar?
September to November. Print runs are set months ahead, and popular calendars sell out of their free stock before the new year. A few groups keep sending calendars into January while supplies last.
Will I get more mail if I request a calendar?
Often, yes. Charities and ministries use calendars to start a mailing relationship, so expect donation letters. If you only want the calendar, look for an unsubscribe option on the form or use a separate email address.
