Makeup costs add up! According to People.com, did you know the average woman spends $15,000 on makeup products in a lifetime? That’s a lot of lipsticks!
And who has expired makeup in their bathroom cabinet? We all can be a little more money-savvy and less wasteful.
With these tips, you can receive FREE makeup samples. (Also, you can get free full-size products with some of these tips, too!)
1. Become a makeup and beauty product tester
Your voice matters in the beauty world; makeup companies want to hear your feedback! You try the makeup product and let the company know what you like / didn’t like, and they will send you free products for your valuable insight!
The websites I like best for becoming a makeup product tester are: Influenster, Toluna, L’oreal Consumer Appreciation Program, PINCHMe, and Vogue Insiders.
2. Online Surveys
Take (easy) multiple-choice questionnaires and receive gift cards to use on FULL-SIZE makeup products. The survey websites I recommend using are: Survey Junkie, Swagbucks Surveys, and MyPoints.
3. Sign up for beauty subscription boxes for their first free month!
For instance, subscribe to Honest Company to try their Honest Beauty Box. You do need to pay $5.95 for the shipping and just remember to unsubscribe before you are billed for the next month. There are other companies who offer beauty boxes too, such as Walmart!
4. Free makeup gifts with purchase
Many high-end makeup brands offer INCREDIBLE gift bags with purchase of their products. Department stores, such as Macy’s and Nordstrom, run promotions for free gift sets with purchase. Oftentimes, you receive a cute makeup bag filled with goodies!
My favorite free gift sets are from Clinique and Lancome. Keep your eyes out for those two beauty brands!
5. Go into Sephora!
The employees at Sephora are trained to ask you what free beauty samples you would like to try! Each time you go in, you may try 3 FREE samples per type of product (skincare, makeup, and fragrances).
6. Follow makeup brands on Instagram and Facebook
A plethora of makeup brands have giveaways on social media! Follow their accounts and enter when they offer a giveaway. Some of my favorite makeup brands to follow are ColourPop and Benefit Cosmetics.
